Description
My interpretation of the cover of the forthcoming autobiography "They Call Me Baba Booey" By Gary Dell'Abate...coming in November...the original cover has to be seen to be believed! [link]
The technique for this one? Speed tracing followed by speed inking with a Faber Castell artist pen, then even speedlierly inked with a Faber Castell brush pen.

My only criticism is that it looks as if it were speed traced in pencil and speed inked, likely with a Faber Castell artist pen, then even more speedily accented with a Faber Castell brush pen!
Note that for a long straight line that is accurate yet not mechanically precise, you can use a mahl stick. Any smooth stick or tube will do. Just place it a few inches away from where you want your line, rest the edge of your hand on it and slide down or across. Your fingers are free to pull the pen, brush or pencil any way you like to make whatever strokes. This way you keep[ the character of a freehand line while keeping it relatively straight.
